Products
Our candles are made using 100% pure soy wax, fine fragrance oils, braided cotton wicks and our signature glass jars and tins.
We use a mixture of fragrance oils and essential oils. All of our oils are high quality and phthalate-free.
We use fine fragrance oils in our candles and incense for a number of reasons:
+ They allow us to create more complex and storied fragrances
+ They are often more sustainable than essential oils
+ They have a more stable performanceYes, all of our goods are 100% vegan.
Our scents vary in strength, but in general our tin candles give the least fragrance throw followed by our glass candles, our pillar candles and finally our incense. If you'd like a recommendation please feel free to reach out to hello@fieldkit.studio
We hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to the ingredients we use, because we know you're using our products around the people you care about most. We only create products we trust and would use in our own homes with our own families. As with any household product, please use as directed and keep out of reach of children and pets. If you have any concerns, we recommend speaking with your physician or healthcare provider to ensure it’s the right fit for you and your little one.
Yes! Our vessels were designed with reuse in mind.
We love reusing our vessels and would encourage you to do the same. Here are some suggestions:
+ pour yourself a drink
+ store small items
+ plant a plant
+ use it as a vaseSoy wax is a soft wax, so it’s easy to clean out your jar for reuse. We recommend using a soft utensil (like chopsticks) to break up the wax a little. Then pour in very hot water to melt the wax. Soy wax is biodegradable so you can put the wax in the compost!
As for the metal wick tab and cotton wick, please put these in the garbage. Once most of the wax has been cleaned out of the vessel, you can run it through the dishwasher or give it a scrub with soap and hot water. If your wick tab is being tricky, pour some rubbing alcohol into the bottom of the vessel and it’ll pop out. Rubbing alcohol is also great at removing any excess wax residue.Care tips for our glass + tin candles
+ Burn your candle all the way to the edge (especially on the first burn)
+ Trim your wick to 1/4” (1cm) before every burn
+ Don’t burn your candle for longer than 4 hours and always keep it within sight
+ Stop burning the candle when the wax is 1/4” (1cm) from the base of the vessel
Care tips for our pillar candles
+ Burn your candle between 2-4 hours each time. We test our candles for periods of 2 hours and find it gives the most consistent burn.
+ Trim your wick to 1/4” (1cm) before every burn. If the wax is spilling over the edge, you can trim the wick as short as 1/8” (1/2cm)
Care tips for our incense
+ After lighting the tip of the incense, wait 10-15 seconds until you blow out the flame.
+ if the incense doesn’t smoke the first time, repeat the step above
+ if you’d like to stop burning your incense before it’s finished, you can use a candle snuffer to put it outOur tin candles burn for around 20 hours.
Our glass candles burn for over 50 hours.
Our pillar candles burn times vary but when burnt in an ideal setting can last up to 80 hours.
